 Hey friends, in case you missed my big video making debut... check it out!  Katie Leigh and The Infantry's Drunk in George all shot at The Go Lounge.  Yeah, it takes a while for sound to happen, sorry... still working on my skills. 

The Acoustic Alliance is only a few short weeks away and the lineup is INCREDIBLE with a diffent guest in the lounge in between each set.  Seriously.  Only ten bucks for a seat but there are only a few left... then it's standing room only.  Check out the lineup and reserve your seat now!

While you're planning ahead, The Songwriter SleepOver has been announced.  There will only be one this year so don't miss it!

Music News 2/13/12

I'm still blown away by the quantity AND quality of our gamers yesterday, The Go Lounge was packed and the songs were magnificent.  Big thanks to Nikki Wilkins for helping out and to Angela and Marcus for opening up on their day off.  Stay tuned for info about the next Game, happening again at the Go Lounge in April!

 

Congratulations to our top 3 drawing bands Friday at The All Access Fest at HOB...(drumroll) coming in third with 114 fans JUST LIKE JENNA; second highest drawing band was MANGANISTA with 115 fans and 139 people came to see S03. There were over 1,100 peeps in the house and ALL of the bands are to thank for that. The next fest is June 1st, save the date!

Check THIS out.  While searching for photos for my Homegrown Hour scrapbook I stumbled on this little beauty.  All 8 of the Homegrown albums (from 73 to 83) were digitally converted by Steven Dempster CHS class of '78 and his brother Dave (class of '76) and posted by Erik Jacobsen, CHS Class of 1975, and the admin of “Clairemont High Calumet Yearbooks”.  Ohhhh the memories! Thanks guys!

Music News 2/6/12

Listen Local's Celebrity Softball Tourney: There are still a few spots left for softball players of any ability and celebrity status.  Please contact Marcia Claire at harmonymelodychick@yahoo.com to get all the details.  I know she's going to be holding a draft (she's kinda crazy like that) in the next few days so if you're on the fence GET OFF it and come play ball!  You'll be coached by one of these fine folks and you'll be raising money for this awesome school's NEW girl's softball program headed/coached by Ms. Claire.  We consider all of our players celebrities, but some of the more notables include (from KPRi) Madison and Cantore, (from Sophie) Mookie, (from 94/9) Tim Pyles, (from KUSI) Brad Perry, (from SD Magazine) Troy Johnson, (from SD Citybeat) our umpire (hopefully!!) Kevin Hellman, as well as some other surprises. If you can't play but would like to donate, we'd be forever greatful.

2/26 is our next Young Performer Showcase and will feature another amazing group of youngsters.  NO cover, all ages and KPRi giveaways.  Don't miss the show!
