The Acoustic Alliance - Sunday - 6pm at The Brick by Brick

AA 12 14 11 FINALThis Sunday is the 37th Acoustic Alliance.  Since December 14th of 2004 Listen Local has presented the Alliance every few months and featured over 350 of San diego's finest songwriters.

The Acoustic Alliance gathers twelve songwriters who share the stage and trade the spotlight to perform 3 of their best songs "in the round".  Presented in a quiet, story-teller atmosphere, the Alliance features 3 sets of 4 artists on the main stage at The Brick by Brick.  In between sets an acoustic ensemble performs in the lounge across the room.

This show is a great way to experience your favorite artist and to discover new ones, too. The Brick by Brick has a full bar and the adjoining BBQ restaurant is happy to deliver items from their menu.  General admission, standing room only tickets are 8 dollars and available at the door.  Reserved seating is 10 dollars and only available online, seats are limited so they must be reserved ahead of time.  Artists who have played the Acoustic Alliance in the past get in free.

This Sunday, Dec. 4th, get there by 6pm to hear the acoustic/sax stylings of PAN AM.  At 7pm the first set of the alliance will begin and Rich McGee, Savannah Philyaw, Jesse Nova and Jordan Reimer will all perform three songs in rotation.  Afterwards, listen to more Pan Am in the lounge while Tannry Denby, The Castners, Brandon Joshua and Pete Thurston get set up to play their songs.  Afterwards, another quick set by Pan Am as we wait for the final set which features 3 songs each by Lewis and Lee (from Queen Divas of the Universe), Trish Hosein, Patrick Mitchell (of Vagabond Junction) and Jesse and Jeff (from The Tilt)All of the set times and links to the artists sites are listed here.  You're not going to want to miss a minute of this event.

Tickets are avaialbe at the door and seats are available for purchase online until noon on December 4th.  If you have any questions, please give me a shout. There is more info here, and you can read reviews and see photos below.  See you at the show!    xoxox  Cathryn Beeks
