Hey friends, today is (drumroll)..... SURGERY DAY, 7:30am.  Hopefully I'll be recovering on heavy drugs by the time you are reading this.  Please accept my sincere thanks..all of you have said such encouraging and positive things, praying and sending good vibes my way.  I look forward to being up and at it again soon.  In the meantime, it's business as usual.  Here is the next two week's happenings, please go out and support Listen Local.  Also, if you have some free time, read this.  If you're more of a visual person there are photos that accompany the story.  Much love and lots of music ahead  xoxo  Cathryn

The Songwriter SleepOver was awesome, great songwriters and nice people.  Calman Hart's songwriting discussion gave us all INSPIRATION to write a song to the title Bricks & Bones... check it out.

 
The San Diego Music Thing (formerly known as the North Park Music Thing - NPMT) is now in its fourth year, happennig this year September 9 and 10th.  The annual event is presented by the San Diego Music Foundation (www.sandiegomusicfoundation.org), a non-profit organization founded in 1991 to make experiential music programs available to children of need in San Diego County.  Check out all the music and seminars, get your tickets now!

Hey friends, in case you haven't heard, I'm taking the month of August off to recover from the surgery I'm having next Monday.  Listen Local and all of our events and shows will continue as usual, with help from good friends.  If you would like to support me during this time PLEASE support the shows in my absense... I will be in your debt.  I'll be a little slower to respond to booking requests and listening to your music for play on The Homegrown Hour over the next 6 weeks, so please be patient.  By late September things should be rocking full force again.  Thanks for your love and good vibes.      Cathryn
